Cured coatings, cleaning solvents, serial numbers scanned a hundred times. Three things matter here: heat, abrasion, and RoHS.
Housings go through ovens and wash lines. Paper labels blister, yellow and lift. Use a film face stock with a solvent-resistant adhesive.
A scuffed barcode does not scan, and the rework rate climbs. Film face stock with a resin ribbon is what holds up to repeated abrasion.
EU shipments are checked for RoHS; some customers also require halogen-free. “Passed” without a report number means nothing.

Heat and solvent resistant, tear-proof. The default for housings and rating plates.

Inner packaging, document sleeves, dry-area barcodes. The cheapest sensible option.

Warehouse bins and dispatch notes, printed direct with no ribbon.
Report numbers are checkable at cti-cert.com. Send us the material name and we return the number.
